Sherri’s Story
“My mission is to help my clients begin to heal themselves through mirroring their true Self so they can see just how powerful they truly are.”
After 29 years of living someone else’s life, Sherri Piñeyro spent 5 years finding her Self, ultimately leading her to open Be Here Now Yoga, Healing and Wellness Center which was located on Barracks Row in the Eastern Market neighborhood of Washington, DC. After 6 beautiful years, she chose to close the healing center to focus her attention on her private practice and spend most of her time raising her two amazing toddlers on her farm, The OMstead with her husband Marco.
During the summer of 2011, Sherri traveled to the birthplace of yoga – India, to deepen her practice and to study yoga as a whole. Rishikesh was an amazing experience for her and it felt like she was coming home. During this trip she met two pivotal people who would lead her to her teacher Carol.
Back in the States Sherri was connected with Carol, who mentored her to connect to her true-Self. Throughout these sessions, Carol taught Sherri how to heal herself and begin mentoring and sharing the practice of spiritual intuitive work.
During this time Sherri also completed her 500-hour RYT certification with Sri Dharma Mittra. Beyond her yoga certification Sherri also is a Reiki Master, Yogic Life Coach, and Counselor. Sherri holds a Masters degrees in Education and Counseling. She has studied Past Life Regression with Brian Weiss and is currently studying Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute.
It is the culmination of these experiences and teachings as well as following the wishes of her teacher Carol that led her to open Be Here Now Yoga, Healing and Wellness Center and extend her expertise in the services of healing and wellness. Sherri’s mission is to create a warm and inviting space where it is safe for clients to spark their rebellious nature, be big dreamers, and take risks all while having fun. Sherri lives her life in joyful truth with fierce confidence. Her belief around what’s possible is contagious. She inspires others to trust in themselves and ignites their flame to create the life they always dreamed of. Numerous clients say, “Sherri kicks my ass with kindness.”
