Wanida is an extroverted world traveling, food and music loving yogi who is on a life journey of self-care. Her yoga journey started when she was i in graduate school. To cope with the stresses of school, Wanida became an avid distance runner, competing in numerous half marathons and 5ks. Despite the benefits that Wanida experienced from running, this activity stressed her body in other ways. To cope with these stresses Wanida attended yoga for need runners class in 2010. From that point on, her practice began. Noticing the lack of diversity in the yoga world, she decided to become a yoga teacher while living in Minneapolis. As a result of this journey, she inadvertently put herself on a journey of self-care and realized her live for yin yoga.
Wanida‘s day job is creating policy as a U.S. diplomat but has always made time to delve into her ever growing yoga practice. Her yoga classes are about accepting where you are in that moment and healing through meditation. When she is not traveling the world, you can find her in an African dance class, reading, or trying out a new recipe (the food Scientist in her jumps for joy over sweets).
The ability to be who you are and accepting it. Inspired by equality and acceptance of all people.
Wanida teaches restorative, yin and vinyasa. All classes are accepting where you are at in that moment and being comfortable to explore.
