Art Therapist and Counselor
Kim Brammer is an Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor by training. She has a specialization in stress & anger management, emotional regulation, life transitions, and addiction. She believes that everyone can reach their fullest potential when creativity is explored and used to help us get to know ourselves better. She specifically loves drawing and painting but has experience with sculpture and clay work as well. In her free time she enjoys swimming, yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family in the outdoors hiking and climbing.
Kim is inspired when watching people explore, recognize, and live their passions. She loves witnessing others grow, however fast or slow growth takes place. One of the aspects of art therapy that Kim loves is when the artwork acts as a mirror for the individual and new revelations are discovered into one’s thoughts and feelings.
“Creativity is contagious, pass it on.” Albert Einstein
Kim likes to go into the wilderness and lose herself in nature. She loves the physical exhilaration of using her body while surrounded by the beauty and majesty of the earth. Her most memorable trips include backpacking from rim to rim of the Grand Canyon and getting chased out of the Smoky Mountains by a Nor’easter.
